With songwriting credits, TV placements, millions of streams from a strong catalogue of 6 EP’S and now two full length records, Patrick sets his ambitions on delivering work that is free from the normal scaffolding. He has toured in support of Boy & Bear, The Paper Kites, Josh Pyke, Emma Louise and Pete Murray. His travels to the UK and Europe have seen him performing alongside the likes of Bears Den and Dope Lemon.
After exploring various musical styles and songwriting approaches on his
previous album, ‘I’ll Take Care of Myself, If You Take Care Of Yourself,’ Patrick
James returns to his signature acoustic sound and storytelling roots with ‘Glory
Days, scheduled for release on the 4th of October.
Reflecting on the creative process, Patrick shares, “The majority of the new
songs were written on the road, often in unique travel moments. Touring these
past few years has allowed me to experience places I never imagined playing. In
those moments of solitude, I found an outlet to channel my energy. The album
is deeply rooted in storytelling and the acoustic guitar, reminiscent of my early
days in music, almost like a bit of a nod to when I first started songwriting’.
